With a focus on quality craftmanship and customer satisfaction, we strive to deliver products that spark delight and make moments special for you and those you love.
Something Two Enjoy was created out of our friendship, love, and passion for handcrafted pieces. Together we have created Bundles of Joy for the home, babies, women, healing grief, seasonal candles and one-of-a-kind items.
Our mission is to bring others joy through our designs!
My career spans 40 years. It has included being a public-school teacher, a tutor, a counselor, and a life coach specializing in wellness, fitness and business. I have multiple college degrees, licenses and professional certifications. I wrote and published two books, one of which is featured in our business, and even tried my hand at blogging. I also compiled lists of books on various subjects that I have found helpful for me. Take a look.
I have loved handcrafting items and creating art projects my whole life. As a little girl, I made candles, sand art, latch hook projects, paint by number, flower arranging, soap making, beaded jewelry, basket weaving, crocheting, decorating my baton twirling uniforms, and embroidering on all my clothes, to name a few. Creating handcrafted items became my relaxation during my career. Many projects were created to be gifts for birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, weddings, newborn baby gifts and some were sold to be given to others as gifts.
During college I met my best friend. We both have a love and passion for creating handcrafted items. When we were in our 20’s we worked together creating flower art. Then life got busy. We raised families. We had careers. Our shared passion took a back seat. We both agreed when the kids’ all launched lives of their own and we retired from our careers we would start our own business featuring our handcrafted designs.
I am a retired kindergarten teacher and crafter. I began crafting when I was young. I had a close friend who was an artist and very creative. We spent many happy hours crafting together. I also helped my mother make baskets, wreaths and tree ornaments for holiday fairs. As a kindergarten teacher for 30 years my favorite activity was teaching handwork. (Many studies show finger manipulation and hand-eye coordination help in the development of a healthy brain.). I worked with my students on finger knitting, finger weaving, stick weaving, hand sewing and simple woodworking projects.
I learned to crochet from my daughter-in-law about 10 years ago. Around the same time, she and a friend taught me the art of quilting. I enjoyed experimenting and playing with colors and patterns and made quilts and afghans for family and friends. In the last year and a half I made and donated nearly 100 baby quilts and afghans to Blankets for Babies, an organization that collects and sends handmade blankets to children and families in Ukraine. I am still active in this project and decided also to spread the joy through our business.
